Project Overview
Our client instructed an FPV drone flight to promote a recently completed premium warehouse refurbishment, including cinematic footage, high-resolution still imagery and external overviews.
The purpose of filming was to capture exciting and impressive shots that enhance the digital marketing of the unit and highlight key features such as the PV roof panels, external green wall and reception area.
Challenge
The brief included internal flights, in particular fly-throughs of the reception, office and warehouse areas, which required specific pre-flight planning to protect the high-end finishes throughout.
We closely monitored the weather forecast to choose a day with sunny and clear conditions to fly. This allowed for a smooth flight and improved lighting with camera settings adjusted for balanced exposure.
Approach
Survey Air developed a detailed flight methodology in order to show off the key features of the refurbishment, providing site-specific RAMS, insurances and pre-flight documentation prior to the operation.
To make the video feel as immersive as possible, we utilised our DJI Avata FPV drone, as this aircraft is incredibly agile and has an impressive 1/1.7-inch CMOS camera, providing 48 megapixels of effective 4K resolution.
