Project Overview
Survey Air were appointed to carry out a high-level drone inspection of the roof and elevations at 369-373 Oxford Street, a mixed-use retail and commercial property in one of London’s busiest shopping districts.
The objective was to provide detailed visual data for condition assessment, enabling the project team to identify defects and plan remedial works without the need for costly scaffolding or disruptive access arrangements.

Challenge
Situated in the heart of London’s West End, the site posed multiple logistical challenges including heavy pedestrian footfall, proximity to neighbouring properties, and its location within controlled airspace.
Limited access to roof areas and tight flight corridors around adjacent buildings required precise flight planning, permissions from relevant authorities, and coordination with building management to ensure safe operations and minimal disruption.
Approach
Survey Air undertook a full pre-deployment risk assessment, secured the necessary flight permissions, and implemented strict site protocols to manage safety and data quality throughout the operation.
The aerial survey was completed using high-resolution optical sensors to capture close-range imagery of the roof areas and façades. The results were delivered as a structured image set for further client review.
