Project Overview
Survey Air were instructed to conduct aerial filming of a high-end office refurbishment in the heart of London, promoting external and internal works in high resolution for digital marketing purposes.
The internal portions included dynamic fly-throughs of the reception area, ground floor café and meeting areas, lower ground meeting rooms and gym, and executive office spaces with private external terraces.
Challenge
The site is situated in one of three specific restricted areas in central London, Hyde Park (R157), City of London (R158) & Isle of Dogs (R159), that require specific prior approval to carry out drone flights.
Due to nature of the brief, it was necessary to assess how the drone operated between internal and external conditions and identify safe ingress and egress points to maximise the flow of the data capture.
Approach
Survey Air obtained all relevant permissions to fly at this location, subject to pre-flight conditions set by NATS and notification to the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection (PaDP) branch of the Met Police.
On the day of flight, our team established clear flight routes through open doors and windows, which allowed us to operate the drone seamlessly through different environments and capture the perfect shots.
