Project Overview

One of the key features of the project was installing a two storey structural link bridge inside a public atrium, with retail and hospitality units underneath, as well as a three storey infill and a terrace link.

It was important to capture the two storey link bridge internally to showcase the most technical and challenging part of the project and provide a unique perspective on the complexities involved.

Challenge

A Non-Standard Flight (NSF) application was necessary to fly at this location, requiring detailed RAMS and insurance cover, with the relevant approvals obtained to operate within restricted airspace.

We notified the commercial tenants prior to the operation with formal flight notification letters, providing key flight and contact information to ensure privacy was protected at all times.

Approach

We prepared a detailed flight methodology in line with the client brief, split into three individual stages; external flight, atrium flight and internal flight within the recently refurbished office space.

We coordinated with building management to gain access, operate from different areas of the building such as the terraces and internal office space, and comply with onsite healthy and safety requirements.
