Project Overview
Survey Air was appointed to deliver a full aerial media package for Oliver Yard, a newly refurbished workplace building tucked away in vibrant EC1, offering 18,188 sq ft of Cat A office space alongside an upgraded reception and spacious courtyard.
The brief focused on showcasing the enhanced reception, modernised workspace floors, and revitalised courtyard and private terrace through a combination of cinematic FPV sequences and high-quality aerial imagery for use across digital marketing channels.
Challenge
Operating within an occupied office environment required close coordination with building management to maintain access, protect tenant privacy, and avoid disruption during working hours, particularly when capturing communal and operational areas.
The FPV component added further complexity, with long continuous routes needed to highlight the refurbished finishes. Navigating reflective surfaces, tight transitions, and time-limited access windows demanded detailed planning, controlled flight paths, and careful on-site communication.
Approach
Working alongside the facilities team, we scheduled filming around natural light and low-occupancy periods, enabling interior FPV routes, courtyard sequences, and stabilised external views to be completed efficiently within a single operational window while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
An integrated capture plan combining FPV, Mavic, and Mini platforms delivered a balance of dynamic motion and high-resolution detail. Pre-defined flight paths and controlled operational zones ensured smooth transitions between interior spaces, elevations, and contextual city perspectives.
